(a) In addition to serving in WWI, Homer was the eldest child of Cyrus Kemp Dillon(1863-1940) and Emma Wilson Dillon(1867-1927), and the grandson of John W. Dillon(1838-1900)and Lydia Miller(1842-1927). His Dillon line extends from Squire Dillon(1785-1857) and Celia Ward Dillon(1788-1865) who resettled to Lawrence Co. in the 1820s from Virginia. Homer's siblings included Cloa, Lydia who married Thomas S. Lively, Oliver E., Gracey who married Chester Ward, Cyrus, Virgie O., and Lucy who married Robert Jenkins. He was married to Viola McGuire.
