Peter and Emilie Vandandaique dit GadboisUpdated March 13, 2004 |
As I was growing up, I always thought that I was Irish and German. I realized there were a few other nationalities thrown into the mix, but none of them were enough to really count. After all, my sainted grandmother, Mamie McNamara, always said the best part of me was Irish. Of course, my father had a little to say on this subject, but he kept his thoughts to himself around Mamie. You see, he is as proud of his German descent as Mamie was of her Irish. Now that I am a granny myself, I am proud to say, not only am I Irish and German, but also Scottish, French Canadian, Swiss, English and quite possibly, Mètis. What a wonderful time I am having, searching for all of those lovely people who contributed to this family history. 'Tis a continual journey which introduces me to new and old members of the clan. Thanks for stopping by! Please feel free to contact me. Elizabeth |
