I am looking for information on the following families:
Beier, Joseph; born about 1840 in Germany. He was a colonel in the German army under Bismark. His family were brewers. During the Franco-Prussian War he met and married Rosa Albrecht(nee Lenko). One son born in Luxembourg. Rosa came to America through Holland. Joseph left the following year through Spain and landed in Philadelphia. They settled in Akron, Ohio. Joseph opened a brewery and a large farm in the area of N. Portage Path in Akron. They had four more sons and a daughter.
Joseph died in Akron in 1949. Rosa died in Akron about 1906. sons were Joseph, John, Frank, Charles, and William, and daughter Minnie.

Houser, Stephen born about 1820, Married to Mary (?). Lived in Bethlehem, Lancaster County, PA. Moved to Loyal Oak, Ohio . Had sons; James born Feb. 27, 1861 in Bethlehem, Henry and daughters;Hannah and Emma.

Breen, Lawrence born about 1836, wife but not much information.
He was either were born in Ireland or came to this country as a young child. Children; one son Harry who lived in Minneapolis, daughters Nellie born in 1864, Annie 1863-1865, and Mary. Nellie married James Houser Sept. 10, 1884.
