The William A. Rudy Family Home Page

William A. Rudy was born about 1812 in Pennsylvania. His father was born in Pennsylvania and his mother in Germany. Married Sarah Engleheart, who was born about 1815 in Pennsylvania.
About 1847, William moved his family from Pennsylvania to Indiana and in September 1850, they were living in Adams Township, Decatur County, Indiana.

In June 1860 they were living in Cold Spring, Dry Point Township, Shelby County, Illinois and he was a farmer.

William A. Rudy and Sarah Engleheart had 9 children. They were: George W., Margaret, Catherine, Christina, Mary, William, David Wise, John and Jonas Cook.

My Great Grandfather was William B. Rudy, son of George W. Rudy. I would be happy to share any information that I have on the Rudy family and am hoping someone can help me find where in Pennsylvania the family originally was located. And hope to find some new cousins.
