The DiTocco Family Home Page

I am researching the history of the DiTocco surname. This name can be traced back to Circello, Benevento, Italy. To date I have been able to locate 9 generations of DiTocco's.

My primary focus is tracing the family prior to 1820 as well as any decendents who moved to Argentina from Italy. I am also looking for information about the DiTocco's who settled in New York and their path to America.

I have extensive information about the DiTocco's who settled in Quincy, Ma.

UPDATE: May 20, 2001 - A search of recently archived 1900 Census records has turned up two DiTocco's living in Cleveland, and a family of four living in Chicago, at the turn of the century.

A search of ellisisland.org has confirmed that at least 27 people with the last name of DiTocco (or some misspelled variation) entered the US through Ellis Island in the late 1800's and early 1900's.
