This web site is under construction and I will be adding further information from time to time. I have a large amount of data on the DIVERS family not all of which is on the database yet so do contact me if you have a connection with the name Divers. The earliest records indicate that the DIVERS family arrived in Scotland from IRELAND around 1790/1800. They settled in Dumfries-shire, Kircudbrightshire and then gradually settled further afield. My particular line of DIVERS started life in the North East of Scotland but have gradually migrated. Other names in my family history most of whom were living in the North East of Scotland, in Aberdeenshire, Morayshire and Kincardineshire include PROCTOR, MCLEOD, TAYLOR,FINDLAY and WILSON amongst others.
