I am researching the DODGE family from Newcastle, ME.Benjamin Dodge, b. Sept. 14, 1807, m. Margaret Wilson, b. Dec. 11, 1818.I descend through one of their sons, Thomas Dodge, b. Oct. 17, 1849; d.1926, m. Annie Cunningham, b. Jan. 8, 1857, d. 1921.Specifically, I'm trying to find out who Benjamin Dodge's parents and grandparents were?
In addition, I'm researching the Alexander VanHorn family of Ocean Point, ME.Alexander was the father of Edward VanHorn and moved from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia in 1866 to Ocean Point, ME.After Alexander's wife, Hannah died in 1870 in ME, Alexander returned to Nova Scotia.He wrote a letter dated 1895, Little River, NS, to family in Maine. I'm trying to find out when he died, where and what his first wife's maiden name was?
