This is an original tintype photo of Allen McDougal (1860-1945) and Rosina Lillian Loftis (1864-1943); It was taken slightly prior to their wedding on 12 October 1880. Allen was the son of Allen McDougal Sr., and Victoria Ann White of Alexander City, Tallapoosa Co., Alabama. Rosina Loftis was the daughter of James Powell Loftis and Artemicia Leake; She was born in Atlanta during the hostilities of Gen. Sherman's advance through Georgia. By family tradition, her mother transported her out of the city on the "last train out of Atlanta."
