DODD Family - Vernell Dodd was the youngest daughter of William Belknap Dodd and Sallie Amanda Ragland. She was the only child born in California, as her two sisters and one brother were born in Barren County, Kentucky. She married Melvin Schoenfelder Sr. Like her niece, Sadie Davidson, she bore the nickname "Babe." Vernell and Mel Schoenfelder had two children, the first of which was adopted and the second of natural birth.
