UPDATED JAN 11, 1998^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^My primary surnames of research are DOGGETT and HARDGRAVE, my mother's maiden name. Other family names of particular interest are PARNELL, HUNT, and JACKSON.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I am Vice President of the HARDGRAVE Family Association. We are a one-name study organization with a bi-monthly newsletter and an annual reunion, the 4th weekend of June, usually held in Clarksville, Arkansas. The 1998 Reunion will be June 27-28, 1998 at the University of the Ozarks Student Center in Clarksville. Anyone is invited. It begins that Saturday morning and includes lunch and special genealogy activities for youth. The lunch requires pre-registration. To register or inquire about membership in the association, please write our secretary-treasurer: Hardgrave Family Association, Frances Sanders, 738 McDivitt Dr., Garland, TX 75040 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The HARDGRAVE FAMILY HISTORIAN with computerized records of all Hardgraves is Dr. Clarence Williams. You may contact him via e-mail at: cwilli2659@aol.comOr write him at: Hardgrave Family Association, Dr. Clarence Williams, Route 1, Box 195 A, Ozark, AR 72949 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The Arkansas branch of the DOGGETT family has it's annual reunion the 1st weekend of June with the Wood Doggett children and grandchildren getting together on Saturday night, usually at Irene Simmons' house. The big gathering is always the pot-luck lunch on Sunday at the Bradley County Park. Anyone is invited. For more information, contact me at the above e-mail or postal address. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The larger DOGGETT family history (descendents of Rev. Benjamin Doggett of Virginia) can be found on a home page developed by Jim Doggett in Hollywood, CA at the above link or this address: http://www.doggettfam.org -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Click on MY FAMILY TREE at the bottom as "InterneTree." I mean the whole tree is attached! Thousands of names! And a "find" tool to help you find someone in particular. My problem spot is Anderson Doggett. Is Chattin his father? No proof! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I will also write about my immediate family, my broken marriage and my two wonderful children at a later time. I am also planning a personal Home Page on Intermedia's @Home.com that will be linked to this when developed. Also trying to preserve two 1800's cemeteries in Nashville with Hardgrave burials, one being my 5 Great Grandfather who fought in Rev. War, Francis Hardgrave.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------MY DAUGHTER, Julianne Doggett is memorialized in the Virtual Memorial Gardens at http://catless.ncl.ac.uk/vmg A good place to grieve your loss. |
