Searching for ancestors mainly from Virginia and Ohio. Dohners came from Lancaster County Pennsylvania to Ohio. Stampers are mostly in Virginia as are Hammitt, Bailie(ey),Bishop, Barker, Shamblin, Lee....and I know I can't remember them all, you'll have to look at the list! HAHAHA!

Have spent many hours traveling to Virginia with my mom searching for our ancestors, have made great memories during the searching as well, but have (of course) come against some brick walls.

My brick walls: Carrie Stamper reported to have moved to Chicago, IL late 1890-s to early 1910's? Never heard from again

William Bailie b. abt. 1750 in Down Co., Ireland. His wife Mary and children Robert, Samuel, Sally, Grace and I believe 2 more came to America in 1806 and settle in Wythe Co. VA before going on to Abingdon, VA where his family stayed except for Robert, his son. Robert went to Duffield, VA and this is the Bailie line I am from. Cannot find anything about William.

Cora Louise Lee b. abt. 1864 could be Cora Lee Bishop. Married to Zachariah Shamblin then to a Mr. Lawrence whom she later divorced.

.....And still we search.......
