Notes for Robert Latta CURL:
In 1850, six years after they were married, Robert and Nancy were living with Robert's parents. At some point they moved to Labette Co, KS, where Robert died. Nancy lived in Ottawa, KS with her daughter Emma, and was evidently with her sons in California when she died of rheumatic fever. She was buried in Riverside, CA.

Nancy is evidently descended from Pennsylvania Dutch - her death certificate reports that her parents were born in Holland.

Descendants of Robert and Nancy showed a marked talent for music. Emma operated what she called "The Brockway Conservatory of Music" in Ottawa, Mary Ala, who had attended the Boston Conservatory of Music, taught voice in Savannah, GA and New York City. Theree of their granddaughters sang professionally - Lionne and BElle Brockway sang with Lyceum groups in the Midwest, and Isabel Curl (daughter of Samuel Alexander?) was studying voice in Italy when she married Sr. Piana, an Italian naval officer.
