DOOLEN FAMILY RESEARCH

Updated October 23, 2012

Leatrice Doolen

leatricedoolen@msn.com

The family originated from County Cork, Ireland, about 1870 and settled in New York State, the Litchfield, Herkimer County, area. It has been through research of the O'Rourke side that I learned Michael O'Rourke, brother of Bridget, came to the USA first through Canada, to the Utica area. Then Owen Doolen (this from a story told to me)came over, and then John and Bridget Doolen followed and settled in the area.
The research has been gathered from Census Records; Birth and Death Records I was able to locate; Cemetery Stones and Records. I have removed this file due to incorrect items and the fact that it is not private any longer. Contact me if you wish to add any thing to my research or if you would like a copy.
