When I was young Mama (Laura Polk) would tell me about her family. It always amazed me that she even had grandparents and parents. I never appreciated her stories about who was related to whom until my own grandchildren asked me who their great, great grandparents where. When my Great Aunt Lucille "Polk Harrison" died, I realized that all of my grandmother's family was gone. There are very few left that can tell us where we came from. This is the reason that I started doing research on our families. Please feel free to correct any mistakes that you find. I also am missing names and birthdays for some of the newer members of the family. |
