I am currently researching the Naprstek, Novotny, Bunker, Dory, Reed, Diston families. We are from all over the world. The Naprstek side of the family begins in Prague, Bohemia which is now the Czech Republic of the world. The Novotny's come from the same basic area and Croatia. The Bunker side of the family is very extensive in itself and has its beginnings in Bohi, Bohemia. This is a very fascinating side of the family. When you come to the Dory, Ditson, and Reed side of the family, we are really scattered around the world. We come from England, Scotland, and the Netherlands. I have taken the locations concerning the Dory, Ditson, and Reed families from my memory and will make the corrections after I dig it out of the files. At least I have a little information on this site for you to read. Hopefully it will spark your interest.
My main project at the present time is to try and find out how Alois Matej Naprstek arrived into this country. I am really having a pickle of a time. He was born in Prague, Bohemia Sep 12, 1854. He was a wonderful harness maker and died July 31, 1915 at his home south of Elba, NE at the age of 60. His wife was Barbara Katherine (Sticka) Naprstek and she was born Sep 23, 1864 in Inhost, Czech. Barbara came to this country at that age of nine (9) with her sister and never left. I have yet to find any information on this crossing.

If any of you folks out there have any ideas about some sources I would appreciate the info.
