DORRINGTONS This is the Dorrington Family History from 1776 to the present day. The early families were all shopkeepers around Manchester and one, William Ashton Dorrington, was a bread and cake baker in Denton and then in Northenden where he met his second wife Elizabeth Holmes and they had seven children, one being my father. William died in 1914 and my grandmother took in laundry to support them all.
