Notes for Captain Alexander Fleming:
Captain Alexander(1)Fleming was born about 1612, Larnock, Scotland. He is said to come to Virginia 1649-1650. Alexander Fleming patented 5790 acres between 1658-1667 on both sides of the Rappahannock River.

He married, first in Scotland about 1631, Elizabeth (Elspet) Anderson, daughter of William Anderson. "Alexander Fleming died between 30, December, 1668 and 13 March, 1668-9 in Rappahannock County, Virginia." Captain Alexander (1) Fleming was the second son of John Fleming (second Earl of Wigtownin Scotland, Seventh Lord Fleming) and Lady Margaret Livingston (daughter of Alexander Livingston) ( The Scots Peerage, Edited by Sir James Balfour Paul, Vol 8 p548-550 published by David Douglas, Edinburg, Scotland; Finding Your Forefathers in America, A.F.Bennett 1957 Chapter 11, pp 123,126,128.)

      1504. Robert Lusby, born Abt. 1634 in England; died May 1674 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. He married 1505. Dorothy in England.

Notes for Robert Lusby:
Robert Lusby and his family was the first Lusby family to come to America. Robert brought his wife, Dorothy, and his four children to Maryland in 1662. In 1663 Robert Lusby was granted 300 acres in what was called the Broad and Town Neck Hundred located between the Severn and Magothy Rivers in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Robert and Dorothy had two additional children after they arrived in Maryland. (Riley, A History of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, page 30)

Robert Lusby died in Anne Arundel Conuty leaving a will dated February 26, 1674 and proved May 19, 1674, naming wife Dorothy and children Jacob, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Sarah, Zachariah and Robert. ( Maryland Calendar of Wills, 2:63)

      1508. John Baldwin, born Aft. 1622 in Northampton County, Virginia; died 1684 in South River Hundred, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. He was the son of 3016. John Baldwin. He married 1509. Mary Wilkins in Virginia.

      1509. Mary Wilkins, born Abt. 1625 in Virginia. She was the daughter of 3018. John Wilkins and 3019. Bridget Craft.

Notes for John Baldwin:
John Baldwin II (of John I, of Virginia), was probably born after 1622 in Virginia; died in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, 1682-84. He was one of the Quakers who were expelled from Virginia in 1660 and settled in Maryland (Scharf's History of Maryland, v. 1, p. 260). "Baldwin's Neck," 260 acres, was surveyed for him in Anne Arundel County.

The will of John Baldwin, South River, Anne Arundel County (June 12, 1682 - June 16, 1684; Annapolis 4.43, Maryland Calendar of Wills 1), names wife Elizabeth; daughter Margaret, wife of Thomas Cruchley; daughter Lydia Brittison and her son, Thomas Watkins; grandchildren, Lydia Cruchley, Hanna Howard, daughter of Philip and Ruth Howard, and Nathaniel Stinchcomb; John, executor and residuary legatee. His will leaves a legacy for the Quaker ministry.
