| Greetings I’m Cedric Douglas the son of Walter Jr, Douglas, The grandson son of Walter Douglas and Jessie Warren. I'm trying to contact anyone that has interest in the land located in Hartford Alabama. I have fond memories of wonderful summers, running safe and carefree, over what seemed like endless fields during a never ending adventure. Big Momma called it, the Douglas plantation. For as long as I have known, Aunt Matt made sure there was always a place the family was welcomed. Until her death Aunt Mat cared for the property as well as carried the burdens of the financial obligations. I want to continue the Family legacy, of owning this land, that was started over 100 years ago. There is some issue about the ownership and financial liability for the land. We will have to come together as a family, with like minds, to establish a strategy to maintain control of the lands, ours ancestors sweated and died to preserve. We now have the opportunity to secure the Hartford Homestead for future generations to enjoy.
