I am interested in any information about Doucet/Doucette with roots in the Acadia (Nova Scotia) New Brunswick, Quebec, Prince Edward Island, Maine and the other New England states. This is the Doucet/Doucette branch with connections to Germain Doucet dit LaVerdure, born in 1595 in France. I am also interested in Dufour, Cyr and Martin families from the same geographical regions.Other related branches of interest are Daigle, Thibodeau and Theriault from the same regions.

While my primary geographical areas of interest are listed above, these family names will all be recognized (except Dufour) as Acadian families. Therefore anywhere the storm of 1755 scattered the Acadians (Cajuns) has my interest. I am especially interested in information about Pierre Sire/Cyr who came from France on or about 1632.

Needless to say, I will be more that eager to share whatever information I have.
As the result of several recent request, I have posted my family tree although all the data is not yet entered. This tree was launched on July 15, 1998. I will continue to enter data, probably on a weekly basis until it is completed. So if you are intrested, you should keep checking. Of course yoou are most welcome to e-mail me if you want.
