CHARLES D. ELDER , m. Jemima; Parents: Dele Elder (lived in Pa. in 1810 and Ind. in 1820) m. Sarah.

CHARLES CURRY, b. Nov. 25, 1837 in England; m. Harriet Marsten Apr. 4, 1861 in Olena, IL; d. Oct. 7, 1911 in Stronghurst, IL.

    Patrick Dougherty and his wife, Mary Ann Ryan Dougherty, c. 1877. Patrick was born in 1857 in Derry County, Ireland. He was the son of Michael and Ellen (McVey) Dougherty. He emigrated to the U.S. around 1872, at age 15. Patrick and Mary Ann married in 1877 in Jacksonville, IL. He died in 1907 in Fairview, IL. She died in 1931 in Galesburg, IL.
  • Charles Thompson Painter, c. 1890 (29 KB)
    Charles T. Painter was born in 1831 in Pa. He married Sarah Angeline Evans in 1867 in Ind. He died in 1892 in Illinois. He saw arduous duty in the Civil War from 1862-1865. He returned with 27 men from Henderson and Hancock counties in Ill.--out of 98 who started. He marched 2,000 miles and traveled 3,700 miles on horseback.

    Sarah Angeline Evans Painter was born in 1850, the daughter of Benjamin and Elanore Arnold Evans. She died in 1924 in Henderson Co., Ill. She married Charles T. Painter in 1867 in Ind. They had one daughter, who died in infancy, and four sons.
