My name is Jeremy C. Douwstra I am a Dutch decendent. Many of the names in my family include, Douwstra, Vandenberg, Van Dijl, Ver Sloot, Reynolds, Korver, Corver, Freeke, Freeken, VanderPol, TerLouw, Vos, Klyn. Many of my relative live(d) in Iowa. Many in Pella or Orange City. Most decended from the Netherlands, specifically the Utrecht Province.
I have a lot of history about my family down the Korver family line, up to about the 1600's. I would like to find more information on my last name Douwstra. I have been told that it follows similar names like Douwe, Douwes, Douws, and many more. I am trying to find out how my relative got to America and how far back we can down my name line.
