| Dedicated to seeking information about the ancestors of Joe Douglas and Family. The family includes the surnames Douglas, Callahan, O'Callahan, Burke, Murphy, Palamidessi and Scimone. These folks hailed from Ireland, Scotland and Italy. I believe Andrew Douglas immigrated from Scotland in the mid to late 1800s, and settled in Bellefontaine, Ohio. He was married to Mary O'Callahan, b. Ireland. The Burkes, Murphys, Callahans Palamidessis and Scimones all emigrated in the early 1900s, I believe, and settled in the New York City and New Jersey regions. |
