Wilson Member of Church of the Covenant Elizabeth Courtwright Wilson, 84, of Washington, died Monday, February 8, 1999, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center, Washington. She was born May 12, 1914, in Washington, a daughter of Floyd I. and Alice V. Bainer Courtwright. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Church of the Covenant, Washington. She attended Gabby Heights School, and as a young woman, was employed by Montgomery Ward. Following her marriage, she became a homemaker. On April 21, 1942, in Washington, she married John E. Wilson, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Joanne W. Day and Debra L. Manon, both of Washington; two sisters, Marie Stebella and Ella Cavanaugh, both of Washington; two granddaughters, Elizabeth J. and Lynn Marie Day; and several nieces and nephews. Notes for JOHN E. WILSON: Obituary John E. Wilson Washington County Sports Hall of Fame John E. Wilson, 85, of Washington, died Saturday, June 12, 1999, in Washington Hospital, following a brief illness. He was born June 1, 1914, in Washington. Mr. Wilson was a member of Church of the Covenant where he was a former deacon and elder. He was 1932 graduate of Washington High School and attended Washington and Jefferson College. Mr. Wilson was an office manager and purchasing agent for Star Mould, retiring in 1980. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of American Legion. Mr. Wilson enjoyed bowling and was a member of the 1931and 1932 undefeated football teams of Washington High School and was a member of Washington and Greene County Sports Hall of Fame. On April 21, 1942, in Washington, he married Elizabeth "Biddy" Courtwright, who died February 8, 1999. Surviving are two daughters, Joanne W. Day and Debra L.
