We are interested in researching the following surnames:Kilroy - We know that the Kilroys were from the city of Newport in County Mayo, Ireland. Michael Kilroy married Mary McHale and they then went to New York in the 1850's.
Williamson - The Williamsons originated we believe in Paisley, Scotland. They emigrated out of Londonderry, Ireland and arrived in Quebec in the early 1800's.
Kincaid - We're not sure what county in Ireland they are from. We believe the original spelling to have been Kincade or Kinkade. Thomas Kincade (Kinkade) changed the spelling when he worked for the city as a motorman on the streetcars because there was another man with the same name. Thomas Kincaid married Brigid Kennedy in Chicago.
Sestilli - The Sestilli family is from Ascoli Piceno, Italy. Emigrated to the Pittsburgh area around 1910 and then moved to Lorain, Ohio in 1920's.
Dougherty - The Dougherty/Harkin families we believe to have been from County Mayo, Ireland. Fought on opposite sides of the Civil War. The entire Dougherty family resided in the Philadelphia area. Joseph Dougherty moved to Lorain, Ohio in the late 1940's and married Magdalene Sestilli.
