| I am researching the Downie family of Pomeroy, OH. William Lowery Downie first appeared in the Pomeroy area in 1849, arriving from Newbiggen near Lauder, Berwickshire, Scotland. His brother James Downie arrived from Scotland in 1860 to help William build a home.I am also researching the Baker family of Middleport, OH. |
