1. Thomas1 Okey1 was born 1721 in Lewes, Sussex County, MD, and died Bef. April 7, 1780 in Lewes, Sussex County, MD. He married Elizabeth Stockley2, daughter of Oliver Stockley and Margaret Prettyman. She was born January 24, 1735/36 in Sussex County, Delaware3, and died February 24, 1824 in Monroe County, Ohio.

Notes for Thomas Okey:
April 7, 1780, - Levin Okey appointed administrator of the estate of Thomas Okey "by special permission of the Orphan's Court." Wit: Philips Kollock, Penelope Kollock. (Sussex Register of Wills, R6-4545) Note: no record of this found in the Sussex OC records
May 3, 1780, - Deed - Elizabeth Oakey, widow of Thomas Oakey, late of Sussex County, deceased, from Hugh and William Stevenson, sons of John Stevenson. John Stevenson had originally sold to Thomas Oakey who died before deed was recorded, 106 acres for 27 pounds. Wit: Rhoad Shankland, Robert Mariner. (Sussex Deed Book M-12, p326)

Notes for Elizabeth Stockley:
Elizabeth Stockley, daughter of Oliver Stockley and Margaret Prettyman was born January 24, 1736, and baptized at St. Georges (Episcopal) Church, Sussex County, Delaware.
This does not agree with the above baptismal record. (Died at the age of 103 and was buried in the Okey Cemetery at Woodsfield, Ohio. The tombstone was in a fair state of preservation, summer of 1926.)
