| John Wahl was born 1831 in Rothenhaar,Gaildorf, Germany. Rosina Wagner was born March 11, 1834 in Bronnweiler,Reutlingen, Wurthenburg, Germany. They came to the U.S. and were married April 18, 1855 in Rochester, Monroe, NY. John White was born 1820 in Dunmanway, Ireland. His parents were Thomas White and Johanna Newman. He was a linen and velvet weaver and came to the U.S. in 1837. Elizabeth Levis was born in 1818 in Skibbereen, Ireland. Her parents were ? Levis and Mary J. Connell. Her father died when Elizabeth was 6 weeks old. Elizabeth, sister Ann and Mother came to the U.S. in 1828. John and Elizabeth were married January 15, 1850 at St. Lukes Episcopal Church, Rochester, Monroe, NY. What follows are the names that our family have found. Special thanks go to Great-Aunt Fanny (Frances May Wahl Rogers) for getting the hardest work done and passing it on to the rest of us. Imagine what she could have done had she lived into the computer age! Second I want to thank my distant cousin Donna who sent a message to one of the AOL genealogy message boards asking where all the Wahl's were in Rochester back in 1996.
