Notes for HENRY LEONARD HALL: Notes by Elke Hall: Clinch Valley News, Oct. 14, 1981: Henry Hall Funeral Services for Henry Leonard Hall, 63, of Bluefield, WV, who died Monday, Oct. 5 in a Bluefield hospital after a long illness were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Edgemont Baptist Church. Rev. Ronald Skidmore officiated at the services. Burial followed Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Born in Tazewell, he was a son of the late Beverly and Maggie Hall. He was an optician for the Taylor Optical Company, a member of the Edgemont Baptist Church, member of the VFW and a veteran of WWII. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Walk Hall, three daughters, Mrs. James Pat (Betty) Tiller and Mrs. David (Joyce) Farmer, both of Bluefield, and Sheila Mae Hall of the home; three sons, Larry Joe Hall, stationed with the US Army in Panama, Henry L. Hall Jr. of Richmond VA and Michael E. Hall of Newport News, VA. four sisters, Mrs. Willie Compton of Orange, VA, Mrs. Eliza Compton of Detroit, MI, Mrs. Bertie Lockhart of Orlando, FL and Mrs. Azella Eldridge of Tazewell; two brothers, Bev Hall of Bastian, VA and Melvin Hall of Bluefield, VA and 10 grandchildren. Members of the VFW Post No. 9696 of Bluefield VA were in charge of military graveside rites. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Gideons Intl. |
