I am currently researing Harkins Genealogy. I am looking for a
John Thomas Harkins born in 1886 in Bellefonte, Pennyslvania
Father name was John Harkins and Mother name was Mary possible
maiden name was Puff. John Harkins enlisted in US ARMY at Ft
Slocum, NY Jan 1921, he was then sent to Camp Grant, located
Rockford, Illinois. He was discharged from USArmy in Jul of 1921
He remained in Rockford, Illinois until June of 1922, He
left behind a Wife named Laura Harkins (maiden name Morton) and
a six week old daughter named Mary Harkins who was born on April
19, 1922 he left in June of 1922 and was never heard from again.
Mary Harkins died On March 31, 1996, I promised my mother that I
would search for her lost father. So far no luck, but who knows
I may find him. My only interest is learning what happened to
my grandfather and where he went. Thank you Roger Northrup
