Drashman's Page

I am researching the DRASHMAN family name from Germany. I have found very little information of where they originated from in Germany. My grandfather told me before he passed away in 1960, the the original spelling of the name was DRASCHMAN - immigration officials dropped the 'C' as it was considered silent. My grandfather was born in Baltimore, MD in 1891 (I contacted the Maryland archives, but they found no records of his birth), he also had two brothers, Andrew, and Joseph, that I have not found any information on.
