I am looking for two unrelated ancestors. First, ABRAHAM LOSEY, born about 1758-60 in NJ, who served from 1775 in the American Revolution and his pension application shows he was involved in many actions for 3 years.About 1783 he journeyed north to CT and married in Southington Hannah Barnes, daughter of William Barnes and Martha Upson, on Oct 27, 1785. They had a couple of children there, then traveled north to Southampton, MA and lived the remainder of their lives there.Had children, Sarah, Hannah, Sidney and Abram W.I have lots of information on the Morristown Losey families but nothing to connect Abraham Sr. to his proper family group. Also looking for PATIENCE STEWARD, born ca 1685, married William Thomas in Stonington, CT in 1713 at the Congregational church where she was baptised as an adult. They moved from North Stonington to Voluntown, to Hardwick, MA where she died about 1745.She is possibly connected to William Steward who married and remained in Stonington.Or to the William Steward who married Margaret Reynolds and lived in Westerly, RI.The latter family was much involved with the 7th Day Baptists of Westerly and I'm wondering if this was Patience's family because the Baptists did not believe in infant baptism so perhaps that was why she was baptised as an adult. Please email me if you can help.I'll gladly share what I have on these families.
