Draisey Family History
The Draisey Family had lived in and around the Gloucestershire villages of Tortworth,Chalfield,Falfield, and North Nibley since the early 1300’s until the Industrial Revolution of the 1850’s. Migrating to the coalfields of South Wales ,the industrial Midlands and London ;before venturing across the oceans to NorthAmerica and Australia. There is strong evidence that the family came to England with the Norman conquest from a small village in the northern part of France called DRAIZE, although there are many pieces to this jig saw of a family. We are all descendents of Thomas Dreyse 1403 It is our hope to join all those pieces together so if you can contribute please do :so : for example Has any one information about Thomas Draisey who married Mary Cowell on the 13th February 1767 In Boston |
