|Leopold Friedrick Johann Drews was born June 10, 1848 in Germany - some indications of Cobough area. Died January 12, 1904 in Dows, Iowa area. Family name americanized to DRAVES. Married Feb 14, 1874 Anna M Kuskie(Kurkuskie on marriage certificate) born as Anna M Kurkowski in Germany Oct 24, 1858 and died Jan 23, 1939 at Dows, Iowa at home. Father Michael Kurkowski b:1816 changed name to Kuskie & died in Nebraska at unkown date.

I was told two brothers came to America about 1867 (mid 1860)'s. They settled in Reading, Pennsylvania area. A sister Mrs. Bernard H Schmidt came over a bit later and raised her family in Reading, Pa.
In May 1876 Leopold and Anna left Reading, Pennsylvannia by covered wagon. George was born in Reading, Pennsylvannia. Wilhelm was born in the covered wagon near Oshkash. They had stopped for the winter.
They were in Cass County, Nebraska for the 1880 census. They moved to western Nebraska then to central Iowa.
Leopold Drews became A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES on April 20, 1891 in Ogalalla, Keith County, Nebraska.
Leopold and Anna lived 15 years in Perkins County between Grant and Ogalalla, Nebraska before moving in 1901 to Iowa finally settling near Dows, Iowa.

Fredrick declared his intention to become a citizen of the United States on September 16 1872 before the Prothonotary of the Court of Common Pleas, Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
Census: 1900, Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania. He was living with his daughter Mathilda and her husband Jacob Balthser at his old address. Census shows him as owner. Census also shows a Hennerietta Drews, 18 years old as a border.

Have very little information on Leopold's brother and sister and none on his parent. Any help?
My wife was a Buckley.
My mother's family goes back to the Phillips, Scott, Bruce and Ballantyne.
My grandmother was a Jorges.
