Notes for Robert Woodbine Walker:
Per oral family history, two weeks after being married in May 1870, Robert Walker and Mary Ann Palmer sailed to New York. They stayed in New York with a relative for about two weeks (possibly Robert's sister Mary), and then boarded a train initially for Solomon, Kansas, but upon arriving in Solomon, discovered the tracks had recently been extended, and they were able to go as far as Salina. Upon arriving in Salina on June 24, 1870, they left their only possession (a packed trunk) at the train depot. They carried one small suitcase and walked the twenty some miles to Minneapolis , Kansas, drinking in small creeks along the way. They stayed with Israel Markley, and the next day Israel and Robert took a team of horses and went back to Salina to get their trunk. They stayed with Israel until they found a place of their own. They lived in a small house in Minneapolis, Kansas before they homesteaded six miles west of Minneapolis building their home from logs and rocks.

She was born March 1862 in Libertyville, Lake County, Illinois⁷⁸, and died Aft. 1900 in Summit County, Colorado.

Isaac Charles Palmer emigrated in 1870 per the 1900. Presumably, he would have been living in Ottawa County, Kansas, but no record is found of him on either 1870 or 1880 census. Elizabeth Lee is identified on the 1880 census of Ottawa County. Based on marriage date and birth location of children, family settled in Colorado at least by 1882. Homesteaded in Summit County, Colorado along Blue River about 15 miles north of Dillon, Colorado.

Per BLM records, granted homestead rights to 160.58 acres in Summit County Colorado on 06/28/1901. and 56.58 acres on 01/25/1902

The census profile of the Elizabeth Lee married to Isaac Charles Palmer on the 1900 census is the same as that of the Elizabeth Lee who is the daughter of John Lee on the 1870 and 1880 census of Ottawa County, Kansas (same birth year of 1862, same birth state of Illinois, and both parents with birth place of England).
