| I am searching for the Drafts Family, Jacob Drafts Born Germany, Cal 1715-20. Died March 19, 1760, Lexington, South Carolina (killed by Indians). Buried at a unmark grave near intersection of Center Drive & Glenkirk Road. Children: one known child with descendants, George, cal 1740----5/1736. Petitioned for land grant on March, 16 1744 stating that he, a wife, 4 children arrived about 2 months age on Captain Brown's ship, "The St. Andrew." refer; council mjournal, Vol. 14, pg. 137. S.C. Archives, microfilm records of the U.S>, S.C. Council Journals, 1944, E-Pl, Roll 3, US-9. 300 Acres granted on February 22, 1745, "being in the limits of Saxa gotna Township, in the province aforesaid, butting bounding to the northward om lands belonging to Frederick Arnold & the Santee, otherwise Congree river to the East part laid out to Michael Augster & part lnot laid out to the South & to the West on land mot laid out.
