I am researching the Drennen family name. I am looking for information on William Drennen b. abt 1726,his father, William b. 1707 in Ireland, and his father, Samuel b. 1682 in Ireland. Also looking for information on Daniel Drennen (abt 1715) and Martha Dreamer. Who was the father of the four sons, William, John, Hugh and Thomas, who emigrated to America around 1770. Was it William (1726) or Daniel (1715)?

Join the Drennan/on/en DNA project. We have test results for 15 individuals. Matching me are Wade Drennan (37/37 markers), Raymond Roy Drennon (36/37), and Brian Stanley Drinnan (35/37). I am also researching the Ascott family. I am looking for the parents of William Ascott born Abt. 1780 in England. His grandson William George Ascott emigrated to America and settled in Keokuk, Iowa.

Also looking for Margaret Speer b. 1827 in Allegheny Co., PA. She married William Drennen and moved to Woodford Co., Illinois in 1855.

On Kathy's side we are looking for information the Sperry name. Also John Charles Martin born in 1842 in England, his wife Mary Elizabeth Dobbs (1/2 Native American) b. 1862 in LaClede Co., Mo, and their daughter Nellie b. December 25, 1888 in LaClede Co. Mo. Also looking for ancestors of Zachariah (Zachary) Taylor McGill b. 1844 in Putnam Co., Indiana and his wife Malinda Lee b. 1846 in Ohio.

    Mary went home to the Lord on June 25, 2000. She was born in Keokuk, Iowa in 1910. She moved to Aurora, Illinois as a child and grew up there. She married Cecil Drennen in 1928 and raised four children. Two infant children preceeded her in death.
