He married Daisy Disston Drake June 29, 1904, daughter of Silas Drake and Elizabeth Walker.

William, Sr. was visiting in Crewe, VA, when he became ill during the flu season of 1963. The next morning he died and is buried in the GROVE PLOT in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Richmond, VA.

His wife Daisy and Family called him, "Cameron".

When Edward married Julia they lived with Julia's parents. One of Julia's bridmaids was, Helen Gorman, who years later, would become Edward's second wife. Years lated Edward would joke that he, "married the Bride AND the Bridesmaid".

Edward was about 39 and Julia was 27 when Virginia was born. Virginia was 8 years old when Julia died.

Virginia went to live with her Aunt and Uncle, Franklin Samuel Grove, Jr. and Lelia Mae Sandidge Grove in Augusta Springs, Virginia. This is located near Waynesboro (was Basic City), Virginia. Franklin Samuel and Lelia Mae's daughter, Christine, who was 4 yeas older than Virginia were reared together.
