HAMILTON SPECTATOR NEWSPAPER

Hamilton, Barton Twp., Wentworth Co., Ontario, Canada

(found on microfilm at the Hamilton Public Library, 44 York Street, Hamilton, Ontario)

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Below are some of the Memoriums and Cards of Thanks I have come across while researching my family tree.  Some items were difficult to read, even with a magnifying glass, so I have added a “( )” or “?” around the letter, word or date that I am unsure of and have added what I think it looks like.  If you see in brackets (rest was cut off) that just means, that when I was copying the page, I didn’t copy the whole thing, and cut off that particular item.  You will have to check the microfilm, for the remainder of the information.  I have highlighted the families (the ones that I know of), which are connected to ours by using Bold Type. Good luck in your search.

IN MEMORIUM…

DROUGHAN, Thomas Patrick - In loving memory of Tom, beloved husband, father and papa, August 27, 1994.

Always in our hearts and forever loved.  Sadly missed, but joyfully remembered, Betty, Tim, Janice, Dan and families. (26 Aug 1995)

SPENCE                                 In loving memory of my father, Robert William, who passed away October 28, 1983.  Gone

but not forgotten.  Loved always Ruth. (28 Oct 1985)

WETHERELT                          In loving memory of a dear wife, mother and grandmother, Jean, who passed away October

28, 1983.

The years may wipe out many things

But this they’ll wipe out never,

The memory of those happy days

When we were all together.

We think of her in silence,

Her name we oft recall,

But there’s nothing left to answer

But her picture on the wall.

Just when her life was brightest,

Just when her hopes were best,

God called her from among us

To a home of eternal rest.

Always in our hearts, Thearold and family. (28 Oct 1985)
