(UPDATED
I’ve only transcribed the “COLL” entries found in Clondahorky and Dunfanaghy Parishes. The records are written all in Latin, and very difficult to read. I did my best to decipher whatever I could. I found no interment records. Unfortunately the records didn’t go back that far, and no mother’s names are listed in the marriage records, just the father’s. I’ve changed the original format by linking all the children to the married couples, to make it easier to find complete families.

researching, but I still need more information on parents Francisci
Coll and Sarah McHugh. I have mother listed as Margaret McHugh
(McCue), so I’m not really sure. Also
the name Myles Coll runs through this family line
quite a bit. If anyone has any tiny bits
of info, would appreciate your help.

NOTE: Jacobus Coll (James), his father
Dominic, and son Jacobus were all owners of the well
known pub in Derryfad called the Long Cabin Bar. It is not quite certain when the pub came
into existence, but as far as the records go back, Domnic
Coll would appear to have been the owner in
1876. The Coll
family owned the pub up until 1974.
James Coll was the Licensee after
Dominic. Minnie Coll in 1938, James Coll in 1941
and Mary Coll in 1950. Hughie Hone bought the pub in 1974 and he
sold it to Seamus Collins in 1978. Peter
and Ann Doohan bought the pub in 1979 and are the
present day owners. Kathleen Doyle is
the current Licensee, having the pub leased from the Doohan's.
