I am compiling the history of the Duck Family of South Central Georgia (Harris, Muscogee & surrounding counties.) We are assuming that all persons with the sirname "Duck" are relatives. My knowledge of the family is confined to the Georgia, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina & South Carolina Area . . . and is not that extensive. But, we grow daily! The names Duck, Dimon, Diamon, Diamond, Harvell, Greene & Taylor are related to my particular branch of the "Duck"s. The maternal side of my branch of the Ducks (Harvell, Greene, Taylor) is traced directly to Zachary Taylor and Nathaniel Greene. The Dimon-Duck union was socially active in early Columbus, Georgia and the cotton mills on the Chattahoochee. |
