User Home Pages: "Dutch" Ducharme's Charron / Ducharme and Knittle Home Page
April 3, 2010 UPDATE: I am close to completing my Knittle data and will be posting all of it soon-------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi All, My name is Darryl Robert Ducharme and I go by the nickname "Dutch". Nicknames come easy to my family as one of my ancestors, Francois Charron, took on the nickname "Ducharme" and thus started the Charron-dit-Ducharme clan. Francois' parents, Pierre Charron and Catherine Pillard, were two of the original settlers of New France which is now Quebec, Canada. My maternal grandfather, Clarence Knittle, was the decendant of one of the early settlers in Pennsylvania. His father, William, was born in Roaring Creek, Pa. I now have data clear back to Germany for the Knittle clan. Thanks to those who helped in this endeaver. My maternal ancestors (Knittle) and my paternal ancestors (Charron/Ducharme) were pre-revolutionary North Americans. Knittle ancestors appear in the first U.S. census of 1790. I also have data on my paternal great-grandmother's lineage. She was the daughter of William Eno (Heanaux) whose ancestors also were from early Quebec pioneers. The purpose of this site is to continually gather more information on both sides to preserve that information for our children. Please feel free to contact me with questions or data or just to gab. This page is for family members or interested persons only, which means that it is for everyone. ENJOY!!! Many thanks to internet friends and family who have helped to gather this information. If I can be help to anyone please feel free to contact me. Darryl "Dutch" Ducharme | "Dutch" Ducharme's Charron / Ducharme and Knittle Home Page Updated April 3, 2010 |
