This picture was the last picture taken at the Ross Homeplace on the East Side of Dan's Mountain, where as a boy Dick could remember the roar of Canon's during the Civil War, until the First Satalite was in Orbit. Picture taken in 1930's, Dick died in 1959 at the age of 102 years. He sparked my interest in Genealogy by talking to me about "The Olden Days".
