Ephriam B. Duckworth joined Co. F., 3rd W.Va. Infantry {Union} and he was in the battles of:
McDowell, Port Republic, Winchester, Cedar Mountain, Second Bull Run, New Creek, Droop Mountain, Rock Gap, Salem, Williamsport, Cedar Creek, The Wilderness, Greenspring Station and Harpers Ferry.
Ephriam B. Duckworth served with the Sixth Regiment Vol. Calvary from June 25, 1861 until Mustered out expriration of service on August 15, 1864. This enlistment was in (Clarksburg, West Virginia.)
Ephriam B. Duckworth substituted for "Harvey Woodsford" and served from September 23, 1864 until Mustered out on May 19, 1865 "under Genr'l Order #83, War Dep't, 1865, at Washington, D. C. This enlistment was from (Grafton, West Virginia.)
His Brother T. J. Duckworth served in the 15th W. Va. Infantry and lives near Philippi, Barbour County. {June 11, 1868}.
