The Duffeys of Detroit, Mi.

Updated September 5, 2000

Hello, Iím Brian Duffey and Iíve been trying to find something on my grandfather, and great grandfather.
My grandfatherís name was Roy and his father was James. I think James came over to Canada in 1800ís.
He may have lived in Napanee, Ontario. James' wedding was in about 1882 Aug. 1st, and died in 1890-93.
The story is that a train hit James, in Toronto, Ontario. This is the information that a cousin gave me.
As for my grandfather, Roy, the date when he came to Michigan is a big question. He lived in a section of
Detroit called Del Ray it was an Irish community. Roy married Martha Kerr on Dec. 30, 1916 in Detroit Mi.
Roy & Martha had 4 children, Viginia, Russel, Margret, and my father Donald.
Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
