This is only a beginning, but my desire is to get family names that I'm working up on view, so that if anyone has info that might apply they might contact me. My paternal grandparents were Walter Lee and Ethel (Case) Ottinger who are listed on Duluth Census Records in the early part of the century. They migrated to Amarillo, Texas where my father Walter Gene was born in 1928. My maternal grandparents were Clifford Stanley and Esther Claire (Fasig) Twing who lived in Lodi, California all of their married life, and where my mother Aletha Bee was born in 1929.My great-grandfather Kris/Chris Ottinger was in the Civil War and was a POW in the South which I have documentation for, story is that he was one of 100 men traded for General Lee's son, thus my grandfather's name. Maternal great-grandmother (Hettie) was descendant of Stansbury family, have geneology book done in about 1930's tracing family back to William of Orange, etc. Know that paternal grandmother's family was Irish, immigrated to Canada, and her mother's maiden name was either Reilly or O'Reilly. Will update as I go and am willing to share info with others. Would appreciate any input at all!
