Duff name in Newfoundland, Canada

My ggg grandfather was Arthur Duff. He came to Holyrood, Newfoundland from Ireland when he was seven years old, between 1800 and 1810, with his widowed mother Mary (maiden name maybe Doyle). At that time all his siblings were dead, I believe killed in some sort of conflict in Ireland. I’m not sure where in Ireland they came from but I believe it was either Donegal or Wexford. They may have sailed from the port at Wexford.

He married Mary Myers from Chapels Cove, Newfoundland. The community of Duff’s in Holyrood was named after Arthur Duff where they raised a large family of nine sons (in order):
Edward (father of J. J. Duff, Esq., St. John’s), Thomas, John, William, Matthew, Arthur, Patrick, James, Peter (my gg grandfather), and three daughters: Catherine Duggan, Mary Murphy, and Ellen Hicks.

I believe only three of the sons stayed at Duff’s. James and Thomas who married and raised families there and Patrick, a bachelor. There haven’t been any Duff’s living at Duff’s for a number of decades.
My gg grandfather, Peter, moved to Topsail, Newfoundland and there are many descendants of his living there today. I know a great deal about Peter’s descendants. I know Arthur had a son who
moved to St. John’s, Newfoundland and maybe one or two others may have moved to Boston, Mass.

I am interested in finding out about Arthur Duff’s ancestors, including his parents and siblings, and the descendants of his children.
