WANTED: Information of descendants and ascendants of Izett Duff, son of Charles Duff and Margret Reid, born about 1804 in Scotland. He married Margaret McLachen Nov., 1831 in Dowally, Perth, Scotland and immigrated to Canada about 1835 and they had 5 children born in McNab Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Can. James (b. Abt.1835); Elizabeth (b. 1838); Peter (b. 1840); Alexander (b.1841); Charles (b. Abt. 1845). Izett's first wife died and he remarried Catharine McDiarmond in 1860. They also had 5 children, also born in McNab Twp., Renfrew County, Ontario, Can. John (Abt. 1861) He moved to Chicago, Illinois, USA after 1881, married and died there; Margret (b. Abt. 1863); Izett (b. 1864); Donald (b. Abt. 1869) He moved to Fort William, Ont., Can. after 1881; James (b. 1872). He moved to British Columbia, Can., after 1891, and never married. Alexander (b. 1841) ,Izett and Margret's son, married Christina Stewart (b.1849) in 1871 and had 7 children. Their third youngest, Charles Alexander (b.1881) married Lena McIntyre McAdam (b.Abt.1890) in 1912 and had 5 Children born in Westmount, Quebec Can. One son Lewis was killed about 1942 in Windsor, Ont. during a war training exercise and was never married.
Any information on the above people or any relatives (siblings, children, etc.) would help alot.
