Seven Generations of Duffield in Australia.
Edmund and Mary Ann Duffield arrived at Geelong aboard the "Arthur the Great" in June 1856, with their first son John.
They had two Australian born sons, Thomas Edmund and William Benjamin. The three Duffield sons married three Ashmore girls, Eliza, Emma and Jane. Most of the history of the early years revolved within 30km of Geelong, especially around Bellbrae, Jan Juc, Torquay and Mt. Duneed.
Woven throughout this history are precious insights into an evolving Australian heritage, as experienced by one pioneering family line.
