I am researching the John Brown family of Edgefield County, South Carolina. John was born 08 July 1808 in SC. The 1850 census shows his wife as Ellender, age 22. I believe Ellender, was his 2nd wife as it showed his children as John, Jr. age 15; Jesse, age 12; and James, age 10; Tillman, age 5; Frances, age 2; and Mary, age 6 months. Since Ellender was only 22, she is too young to be the mother of the first 3 boys.
Any information on the parents of John Brown, Sr. or his family will be appreciated. I have not been able to find any information on his parents or brothers/sisters. I have information on his children that I will share.
