This is the hot spot for all VALANTINE family information! The most comprehensive research for VALANTINE family members happens here and is an ongoing project with revisions occurring as newer information develops. We begin with Joseph VALANTINE, a shoemaker of Preston, Lancashire, England in the year 1698 and follow his descendants down to their arrival in Canada in 1850 and to the USA in 1884 to the present day, including their spread throughout England. The most recent development is the result of the VALANTINE family DNA study which has now connected my family branch to two other families, one in Utah and one in England. Our DNA study of three eldest male descendants of Joseph Valantine 1698 showed that all three samples were identical for 44 markers and now we have real proof of our family connection to each other! My grandfather, Clement Richard VALANTINE, married Lavinia E. GOOZEE in North Dakota 1887. This site will have some information about the GOOZEE family as well. For comprehensive GOOZEE information please contact our home page at: http://goozee.org/ Research for the descendants of John "Surry" DUGGER (proven son of Lydia Dugger and ??) is also a part of this site and is constantly changing as discoveries are made. This DUGGER family is part of the descendants of Daniel DUGGER and Mary SCARBOROUGH of Virginia in the early 1700's. There were 8 knownDUGGER/SCARBOROUGH children and my Lydia was one of them. For more information on the DUGGER family members other than John "Surry" DUGGER I can refer interested parties on to other DUGGER/SCARBOROUGH researchers. There is a lot of information out there on these lines. We also have a free e-mail list that can be accessed, used to discuss DUGGER genealogy with our myriad cousins around the USA. Again, for information on this please contact me at the address above. There is currently a DUGGER FAMILY DNA study which is underway via Family Treemaker's site. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to participate in this study. My grandfather Elvis Blair DUGGER married his pretty blonde neighbour, Sarah Elizabeth JACKSON in Morgan Co. IL.Sarah's father William Proctor JACKSON had come to Illinois from Kirkby-Lonsdale,Lancashire, England about 1850.There are several persons who are researching this specific JACKSON family in this country and one in England as well.We have traced the JACKSON line back to about 1720 in England now and are still working on more data to add to it. Alas, I cannot make the promise that all of my data is correct,in fact, I know there are a lot of errors in it, but a large portion is well documented. Please contact me for further family tree information, since I have no current plans to place this data online. My e-mail address is above. I ask that you be cognizant that it is YOUR responsibility to verify and document information yourself!I am always happy to modify information from others that has been proven and appreciate the opportunity to exchange facts with others.
